Dr. Mandy Frost, assistant principal, went into education because her mother was an educator.
“I just like working with students, mentoring other kids,” she said. I think as I became a teacher, I wanted to become a math coach first because math is really my passion.”
Dr. Frost works with seniors, a role on campus she finds the most rewarding.
“I think because you get to have good conversions, like what are you gonna do since this is your last year of high school,” she said. “But overall I just like to see our seniors blossom from freshman to seniors.”
She believes that the change in generations is the biggest surprise of being an administrator.
“I think when I first started as an administrator and when I was in high school, I think it’s the change in the times,” she said. “Like now we’re dealing with AI, and dealing with more behavior issues and the internet didn’t exist back then. Overall I think the biggest surprise is adapting to the times. How do you adapt to the times and still be relevant as you get older?”
She believes this school has seen a lot of changes.
“I think it’s neat to see different perspectives with change,” she said. “Sometimes change comes with new ideas. Some of them work and some of them don’t. So you take the pieces and hopefully one day be a great leader.”
