Toddler Found Dead in Father's Car After Being Left All Day — DA Reveals Disturbing Details

A 15-month-old girl has died after being discovered unresponsive inside her father’s vehicle in Lower Nazareth Township, Pennsylvania, according to authorities.

The child was found around 4:15 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of a business in the 4900 block of Hanoverville Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta said investigators believe the toddler had been left inside the car for an extended period — “as in all day.”

Thursday’s temperatures climbed into the 90s, raising serious concerns about how long the child may have been exposed to the heat.

As of now, no charges have been filed while investigators work to piece together how the child ended up left in the vehicle for so long. Baratta noted that the child’s father did not appear to work at the business where the car was parked.

The Colonial Regional Police Department and the Northampton County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the toddler’s death.
