JERSEY CITY, New Jersey — New Jerseyans rarely agree on who makes the best pizza in the Garden State. But what if the verdict came from Italy itself?
50TopPizza, an Italian review site known for ranking the best pizzerias in the world, just dropped its 2026 guide to the top pizza spots across the U.S. — and two NJ joints earned a place on that list.
Bricco Coal Fired Pizza landed at No. 31
With locations in Westmont and Cherry Hill, Bricco Coal Fired Pizza has built a reputation on treating pizza as an art form — not a fast meal.
Owner and founder Vincenzo Barone sources only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients and puts an enormous amount of effort into every single pie.
50TopPizza took note of more than just the food. The reviewers also praised Bricco’s beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, solid appetizer selection, and wine pairings that complement the meal.
You can visit Bricco at 128 Haddon Ave in Westmont or 2110 E. Route 70 in Cherry Hill.
Razza in Jersey City came in at No. 3 — in the entire country
That is not a typo. Razza, located at 275-277 Grove St. in Jersey City, ranked third on the national list.
Chef and owner Dan Richer takes local sourcing seriously. The flour is milled in Clifton, the bread and butter are made in-house, and the pizzeria even grows its own yeast.
“When the agricultural summer of New Jersey reaches its peak, Razza becomes a statement,” the Italian site wrote of the restaurant.
That kind of dedication shows up in every bite.
