When somebody dies, what’s the right thing to say? What are you supposed to do? How are you supposed to feel?

The Pack Playhouse will address these questions in their performance of The Incomplete Life & Random Death of Molly Denholtz from March 22 to March 24.

According to theater teacher and play director Taylor Lindsey, “The play is about teenagers having to face the unexpected death of a classmate. It shows how each of us handles trauma and grief differently. It also shows that whatever way we choose to handle it, that is okay.”

Written by Ian McWethy, the play does not have traditional leads. Instead, the entire play contains 10 vignettes, or scenes, of two actors each, except for the last one, where the full cast comes together.

This is the first time this play has been performed at West Creek.

“I chose this play because I really wanted a show that would make my audience FEEL,” Ms. Lindsey said. “This show will tug at your heartstrings and definitely make you want to bring tissues. I chose it because I wanted to challenge my actors in their dramatic acting since we have only really done comedies.”

Viewers should be aware that death and suicide is mentioned in the play.

Performances on March 22 and March 23 start at 7 p.m., while the Sunday, March 24 performance will start at 2:30 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts. Tickets are $5 and available through GoFan.
