1. Question: How long have you been playing volleyball?

Answer: “7 years”

2. Q: What advice would you give to younger athletes who are just starting in your sport?

A: “I would tell them to trust the process. It may seem like things aren’t going in your favor but trust it and it’ll start to align.”

3. Q: How do you manage your time between school, practice, and games?

A: “I prioritize my time between school and practice to solely find some relaxation by stretching and decompressing. Between school and games, I complete all my homework and most of the time do homework before game time.”

4. Q: What is your favorite memory or moment as a student-athlete?

A: “My favorite memory as a student-athlete is winning first place in the gold bracket at the Coyote Clash tournament back in August. The team was 4-0 and with it came tears, joy, and laughter.”

5. Q: Who is your biggest role model and why?

A: “My biggest role model is my mom. She continues to drive me and motivate me to become the best version of myself. There has never been a moment where she isn’t proud of me. My mom supports me in every way and is at every single game. I forever will love her, and I’m forever grateful for her.”

6. Q: Who is your biggest athletic inspiration, and why?

A: “My favorite athletic inspiration is Harper Murray. She plays for the University of Nebraska and is an outside hitter like me. She is a beast on the court and fights for everything that goes against her.”

7. Q: “What is the best advice you have ever received from a coach?”

A: “The best advice I’ve ever received from a coach is what they call ‘Next ball mentality.’ It’s the thrive to always move forward whether it be a mistake or a great play. Always pushing for the next is what keeps me going.”

8. Q: What is your favorite song to listen to prior to competing?

A: “My favorite song would be ‘From Nothing’ by Key Glock. It makes me realize how far I’ve come in such a powerful way and gives me the confidence to keep going.”

9. Q: Have you lived in Clarksville your entire life? If not, where have you lived?

A: “Yes, I’ve lived in Clarksville my whole life. Although, in 4th grade I moved to Kansas as a military child.”

10. Q: “Who are your favorite teams?

A: “Florida Gators, Penn State and UCLA”

11. Overall statement of motivation for the game

“What I do to stay motivated when things get tough is to just take a minute to realize the good I’ve done. Knowing that it’s okay to mess up and have off days. Having off days makes me remember I am human and I’m just like anyone else. Telling myself that I’m strong and that I got this; gives me a feeling of ease and balance.”
