Coyotes look to ground Hawks

Travel to Mt. Juliet to take on Green Hill

After finding themselves on the short end of a 9-6 loss against Lavergne last Thursday, the Coyote football squad looks to regroup when they face the Green Hill Hawks on Friday in Mt. Juliet.

According to head coach Rob Gallowitz, “[Green Hill] is a well-disciplined and coached team. We wanted to identify another 6A school that would prepare us for the playoffs and Green Hill fits the bill.

I do think we match up well against Green Hill and should be an exciting game come Friday night.”

One thing the Coyotes can’t do is be undisciplined. Penalties cost them 95 yards against Lavergne. In a game that close, penalties can make the difference between winning and losing

“We also want to eliminate penalties and mental errors that cost us the game week 1,” Coach Gallowitz said.

The Coyotes had their struggles on offense last week. “We want to get the offense moving and establish our identify on that side of the ball,” Coach Gallowitz said.

“Making strides in those two areas will be really important before we move into region play (against Rossview) the following week.”

Green Hill traveled to Northeast last Friday and defeated the Eagles 44-13. At one point they scored 37 consecutive points to put the game away by halftime.

Game time has been changed to 7:30 p.m. because of the heat. Tickets can be purchased through gofan.co (not .com).
