A beloved South Jersey brewery shut down after 10 years — now it's coming back with live music

ATCO, New Jersey — One of South Jersey’s most beloved craft breweries is making a comeback — and fans are already buzzing.

Brotherton Brewery, which shut its doors in March 2025 after 10 years in business, has announced a grand reopening under new ownership. The brewery is set to welcome guests back on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

A Space Worth Coming Back To

The brewery is housed inside the historic Atco Firehouse at 2208 Atco Avenue, right off the White Horse Pike.

It is a setting unlike most. The character of the old firehouse gives the space a warm, lived-in feel that is hard to find at a typical taproom. Add in a spacious outdoor seating area and you have a spot that works just as well on a summer evening as it does on a rainy afternoon.

Live Music to Kick Things Off

The reopening weekend is not just about the beer.

Brotherton is bringing in local musicians to perform on both Saturday and Sunday, turning the grand reopening into a full community celebration.

“We’re back in action on June 27th and stoked to have these talented local musicians celebrate with us,” the brewery shared in its announcement.

What to Expect From the New Chapter

New ownership has confirmed a new head brewer is coming on board. However, the updated tap list has not been revealed yet.

Previous fan favorites included the Juic’d Box and the Brotherton IPA — both well-regarded among regulars who made the firehouse a weekend staple.

Whether those beers make a return is still unknown, but one thing is clear — South Jersey’s craft beer scene just got a lot more exciting.
