Sophomores Arianna Oganezuv (OG) and Yaquelin (Jackie) Meija, have known each other since the 7th grade and have been best friends since freshman year.

“I see OG being my bridesmaid 21 years from now,” Meija said.

“Three words I would use to describe Meija are funny, entertaining and pretty,” OG said. She says one goal for their friendship is “not to let problems heavily affect our friendship.”

Meija said OG is “funny, very random and controlling. One of my favorite memories is us practicing and performing their JROTC exhibition dual.”

According to others who view their friendship on the outside, they see OG and Meija as a very funny relationship. They’re always laughing and playing together.

“Their humor is one thing that makes their friendship stronger,” sophomore Gabby Barzola said.

Another person who sees OG and Meija together all the time is De’von Washington.

“I believe OG and Meija are closer than most best friends,” Washington said. “They’re always on the phone together, at the most random times of the day.”

“We laugh together and we find everything funny,” OG said.
