The soccer squad went 2-1 for the week with a 2-1 double overtime win over Dickson County, a 2-1 overtime loss to Henry County and a 6-1 victory over Whites Creek High School.
Monday, April 15
After 80 minutes of play, the score was knotted at 1-all. Even one overtime wasn’t enough. Senior Manny Mendez scored the game-winner after scoring the squad’s only other goal in the first half. Junior Alex Cruz-Lopez made 12 saves in goal for the win.
Tuesday, April 16
Sophomore Javian Daley netted the only goal for the Coyotes in the overtime loss.
Thursday, April 18
The squad traveled to Nashville to take on White’s Creek and came away with a 6-1 victory.
Six different Coyotes scored goals: seniors Aiden Taylor, Manny Mendez and Johnny Barnett; juniors Alex Orellano and Arriez Fletcher; and sophomore Javian Daley.
Senior Daniel Honeycutt saved four shots in goal.
