The Coyotes hosted Martin Luther King Jr., Magnet High School from Nashville. The home squad held the perennial state power to just one goal as the game ended in a 1-1 tie. After giving up an early goal, the Coyote defense bent but did not break. In goal, senior Daniel Honeycutt stopped 16-of-17 shots.

Going into halftime down 1-0, the Coyotes more aggressively moved the ball in the second half. Sophomore Romeo Sanchez’s free-kick equalized the contest late in the game. Although the Coyotes had just four shots on goal, they maximized the opportunities they were given.
