Head coach Brock Budesheim is proud of the teams’ efforts. “Both teams have met and at times exceeded our expectations,” he said. Myself and Coach Shane have believed in these teams since the beginning. For it to be only our second season with these kids and have the accomplishments that have never been done is amazing.”

After winning district and region championships for the first time in school history, Budesheim said, “The work that the wrestlers put in daily is the reason for this success.”

According to Budesheim, “We’re not done.”

In the regional tournament held at Clarksville High School on Feb. 10, Coyote wrestlers placed as follows:

  • Colin Villaluz, 11, placed second in the 106-pound weight class
