In case students didn’t know, West Creek is a flagship school for the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. This means that students who graduate from the school and who are accepted for admission to UT-Knoxville will receive the Flagship Scholarship. Combined with the Hope Scholarship, this covers a student’s tuition and mandatory fees for up to eight (8) semesters.

Currently, 23 former Coyotes are taking advantage of this scholarship, which averages $8,605 a year.

Students do not have to apply for this scholarship. It is automatically offered if a student graduates from WCHS and is accepted to UT-Knoxville.

However, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Tennessee resident
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • First-time freshman student who enters UT in the fall semester immediately following graduation from a designated Tennessee Flagship high school
  • Submission of the FAFSA by February 15, 2024, prior to enrollment.
  • Submission of admission application by the December 15 deadline

To maintain the scholarships, students must meet these criteria:

  • Submit the FAFSA annually by February 15
Maintain 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and federal Satisfactory Academic Progress
    Maintain continuous full-time enrollment
