The Youth Coalition SCORE Career Internship Program is looking for applicants to join the program. Accepted students will participate a minimum of 40 hours over eight weeks by attending two to three nights per week for two hours.
For seniors, eight of the hours can be used as volunteer service for the Tennessee Promise scholarship.
Students will participate in career development classes, job shadowing, career interviewing, financial literacy courses, first aid/CPR, community volunteer experience and provide tutoring and peer mentoring to at-risk students.
Requirements
- high school student
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- prefer students enrolled in honor or advanced placement classes
- complete application and two letters of recommendation
- provide transcript
Application, recommendations and transcript must be completed and returned to [email protected] by Friday, Sept. 15. Students who return applications early will be given preference.
Applicants will be notified via phone for an interview. Interviews will begin on Sept. 25.
Go to the Counseling Center for the application. The forms must be returned to Ms. Wilson by September 13th.
