The Lady Coyotes flag football squad ran their winning streak to two games after defeating Kenwood 28-0 on Monday.

The game was called with eight minutes remaining in the game. Although the offense put up 28 points on the board, the defense paved the way. Jes’onia Barefield recorded two interceptions, while Leilyn Mercado and Jakayla Thomas kept the Knights’ ball carriers from breaking big gains.

Offensively, junior Madison Bennett found the endzone three times. Quarterback Kinleigh Lewis ran for a touchdown and tossed a 2-point conversion pass to senior Ariy Denson, who also caught another 2-point conversion pass from Addison Aldana.

The Lady Coyotes’ record stands at 3-1 on the season with a make-up game against Rossview scheduled for Thursday at home.
