The Coyote Caller is profiling the Class of 2025 Top 10 seniors. Today, meet Evelyn Alexander, #10 in the Top 10.
Question: How did you feel when you learned you had earned a spot in the Top 10?
Answer: “I felt excited, proud, and honored to have such a competitive spot.”
Q: When did you first realize that you had a realistic opportunity to be in the Top 10?
A: “After the October ACT results were revealed and I found out that I hit the math ACT benchmark.”
Q: What has motivated you to succeed academically in high school?
A: “I wanted to have a chance at as many scholarships as possible.”
Q: What class has been your most challenging during your high school career? Why has it been challenging?
A: “Anatomy and Physiology, because I learn in a completely different style than the information is presented in.”
Q: Which teacher would you like to call out specifically for the way he/she inspired you?
A: “Ms. Fedderman!”
Q: Why/how has this teacher inspired you?
A: “She is always available for both academic and personal questions and continuously pushes me to be successful both in and out of school.”
Q: Where do you plan on attending college? Why did you choose this particular college?
A: “I will be attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I chose it because they have a good nursing program and it is far enough from home, but not too far.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: “In 10 years I see myself balancing a successful nursing career and the beginning of a little family.”
Q: Who else would you like to thank for your academic success?
A: “Honestly, myself for always giving my best effort and never just giving up or ‘checking out’.”
Q: What advice would you give to students who would like to emulate your success?
A: “Find an academically driven friend and compete with them, it will motivate you!”
