Kameron Bowers drives for a layup in the district championship game against Kenwood on March 7, 2024.
After the threat of snow postponed their Class 4A District 13 basketball tournament games on Tuesday, the boys and girls basketball teams played their first round games on Saturday, Feb. 22. Unfortunately, both squads dropped their contests, ending their seasons.
The boys hosted Northwest High School, whom they had swept this season. The third time was not the charm as the Vikings defeated the Coyotes 66-64. The boys’ season ends with a 13-12 mark.
The girls traveled to Kenwood High, where they fell to the Lady Knights 52-34. The Lady Coyotes season record drops to 1-21.
